AFK_Matrix
Hi, I went to a seminar on Tuesday about Max 9, Revit and Combustion. Now when i was talking to the guy at the end he said there was a trial version of Revit i could download. This is great as i'm trying to show my company what revit can do. So i go to the autodesk site and the downloads are for the US & Canada only!!! Why is it only for them? So is there anywhere I can get a trial vesion of AutoCAD (so i can take a house layout from work and test Revit at home) and of Revit? Thanks
Macer
In the UK you should be able to get trial versions through your software vendor. Just explain that you are trying to convince your work to purchase the software, not only should they offer you a trial version, they will probably offer a CPD approved demo of the software at your office too. Probably worth clearing it with your software / IT manager first though. There are a few to choose from, one of the bigger ones is Excitech. AFK_Matrix
Hi, Thanks Macer. I actually only tried the AutoCAD download from Autodesk and assumed the Revit one would be the same, that will teach me to assume things. I did actually manage to download the Revit Trial off the Autodesk site. But wanted the AutoCAD trial as I am doing this Revit testing at home and thus have no CAD/Visulization software to open the companies working drawings. But all of this is solved now thanks to Vizwhiz he gave me a link to a free CAD program as all i need to do is open the DWG and measure things etc.
