amoroso
Do you guys know how to solve these artifacts? They occur when modeling. I have a x850xt graphics card and dont know why this is happening... this occurs in both Direct 3D and OpenGL mode. Software works fine, but its really jaggy and not to my tastes. Thanks guys! SandmanNinja
What render engine are you using? It kinda looks like an anti-alias issue. Good idea on switching between Direct 3D and OpenGL.
Onzki
:)im not sure but you can try "anti-aliasing" setting on render menu.. or simply refresh your screen (minimize -maximize window)
AJLynn
I'm pretty sure he's talking about a problem with the viewport display. See how his polys are out of control on the left?
Mechadus
I first had that same problem with Lightwave 3D when I got my Geforce 2 (way back in the day).. I thought it was a LW thing till it started happening again when we upgraded some of the office machines to dual Quaddro cards. I spoke with several techs from BOXX technology, and we narrowed it down to a DirectX problem... I tried various things to fix it, but the only solution I found that actually fixed it was to completely uninstall MAX (Including all registry entrys) uninstall all the video card drivers, and its references from the regisry, uninstall MAX, Vray, yadda yadda, then reinstall everyting one-by-one. It was a really crappy solution, but it worked -Nick Kropat
amoroso
Like Andrew pointed out it was the viewport display where I was getting those artifacts. It was not a render, sorry if I confused you guys. Anyways I figured it out. I had my graphic card overclocked... and apparently 3DS doesnt like that. I put my graphic card on stock clocks and works like a charm. Trying to get as much possible from my hardware and I should have figured it out sooner. Thanks again guys for you help!
