Ghan
Oi, I'm back Just posted a topic on background maps yesterday and got some good replies. Now i'm facing the next problem....how do i get the background in my scene? Yesterday i searched everywhere for information about the topic but could'nt find anything good. I tried to make a box outside the window and create a Material with the Diffuse Map a Bitmap of a landscape. I applied the Material to the box side that's facing the window and rendered. Every time i try it the background looks blown up, distorted or even completely one coloured! The Visualisation Insider http://www.cgarchitect.com/upclose/VI/Week13/A_Little_Background_Information.pdf Was helpfull but it didn't give much specific actions one needs to take to get a nice background! Is there someone who knows a good tutorial of something for me to learn. For your reference, i want to make it look like you're looking outside through the windows of this render! http://www.alles3d.nl/testrender.jpg Greetz Ghan
Devin Johnston
It sounds like you may not have a UVW map applied, or if you do it's the wrong kind, make sure it's BOX and it's sized appropriately for the material your using. You could also try putting that same material in the environment channel.
