Nice start, I think it would be better not a lot of contrast in the background image, I prefer always some lightness in saturation an brigth but not a lot of contrast. wood always reflect something with high glossy, even rustic wood.... it has nice results... and I think it would help too, more radiosity. :)

To start off with search for some free textures on the internet. Youll get tons of those. Dont just use the default textures you get with max.

By the way, the floor tiling is way too big.

You should find some tutorials for brazil search the net sure youll find something.

The textures i used aren't from Max. All the textures are self made.

I'm not going for a photo realistic look cause i know i'm not that good yet. I wanted a fun colourfull render.

More C&C are more then welcome!!!!

Hi fellow countryman,

well, first I think another cam. position would help a lot. I can't see the ceiling, so I can't tell if I can stand upright in the room. It lacks a sense of scale. Also, right now I have the feeling the building is tiling over backwards (probably because of the misplaced background image). Also, you could add a little more detail. Window frames could use some detail, as you can see them in detail. I agree with Jakub on the scale of the floor image.

Well, keep us posted with the updates!

I think the comment referred to the bitmap of the wood. This wood-map is known to everyone who uses max as its the first wood-map everyone uses. Have a look online for something else. There are millions to choose from....
