MegaPixel
I've been asked to prep several 3DS projects to be printed on a Z-Printer (3D resin based rapid prototyper). Depending on the scale of the project to be printed, certain objects within the project that fall below a certain minimum thickness will not be printed due to accuracy limitations. I'm trying to find a way to quickly identify all of the objects in the scene that fall below that minimum thickness threshold so I can either make the decision to omit if from the scene or thicken it up to be visible when printed. Is there a way through max scripting (or existing features) to do something like this, perhaps by searching for objects that have edge lengths of a certain length and lower? I heard the productivity booster extension has a feature called select similar? I wasn't sure if that technology could be applied here? I've never maxscripted before so I really would have no clue how to do something like this. Does anyone here know how I might go about doing what I'm asking for? Thank you in advance for any help you have to offer. - Dave
