andreg
Hi Guys, I've been having this annoying problem when I switch from a physcam to perspective view, I can't get rid of the vertical shift! So everything is in a weird perspective. I'm sure there must be a simple solution to this one, I just haven't found it Thanks for all your precious help

If so, perspective view is always going to show you a 3 point perspective and a v-ray physical camera 2 point if you configure it that way with the vertical shift parameter. Guest nazcaLine
i don't have max at hand, but if i remember correctly, there's an option in the general preferences, viewports tab, that lets you specify the degree of perspective. (or is it in lightwave?? ) Eduardo
TheAllusionisst
If you are in a bind, you can skew the image in PhotoShop to remove some if you are in a crunch.

Trevor Tizard
Have you used the vertical shift feature of the Vray Physical Camera before changing to perspective view........? If not, change the viewport to front or top before changing again to perspective. This is of course assuming I've understood your question, and not talking utter rubbish! Tim Saunders
I would also like to know if there is a way to simple override any verticle shift/cammera correction from any perspective viewing. For the moment, I switch to a top view and orbit quickly so it becomes a "user" view, then I hit "p" and the verticle shift is removed. Some times I hit, "f" then do a "user" orbit, and "t" and do another "user" orbit and you will for sure be taken care of.

I have a max standard camera, and when i want to overcome the vertical shift, i change to that camera from vray camera, and then to perspective. What you could also do is remember the vertical shift value, and then just input it when you need to make a render, otherwise just keep the value at 0. Then you can change to perspective without any problems.
Horhe
There is a way to change the parameters of the perspective viewport. It works with standard cameras. One changes the parameters of the perspective viewport under the preferences settings. Doesnt work with vray though probably because the vertical shift isnt supported within.
