Texture mapping

Hi all,

I'm having a problem applying the texture to the house walls. This is a file from autocad. I've done the uvwmap correctly and it isnt applying the concrete material that i selected. There is a box that I've created a box to check that everything is working fine.

In the attached picture you can see what's the problem.

Any help?

King Regards

I also realised that the problem is with the bitmap. I apllyed a simple material with a bitmap. The box is ok and the house just got the blue colour of the bitmap, but it doesnt display the picture. I have the uvwmapping with the same values of the box (200cm*200cm*200cm).

Thanks for any help.

Hi,

I know this may seem daft and you have probably done this but in the Material Editor have you clicked on the blue and white checked cube? Its called show map in viewport, that should be highlighted and that should make your bitmaps etc show up in your viewport.

Hi,

Yes, as you can see the attached pict show the texture in the box and a strange thing in the house walls. seems a disotrced mapping, but when I change the uvwmapping coordinates it doesnt change anything.

Thanks

Sorry mate missunderstood what you meant :o

Well not sure why its doing that tbh, only thing I can think of is to try and bind the model so you don't have the link in file manager. Can't see how thats gonna help but meh. Also post a pic of your material settings.

woow thanks a lot, that's it;)

Now I just wonder if there's a way to select all faces with id1, id2,... so that i dont have to pick each one to apply the uvwmap.

yeh you can just go down in the sub object menu. and there will be a box there just above smothing groups. saying SELECT BY ID.

hopefully its what you were looking for.
