pailhead
I'm trying to design a staircase for one of my house designs. I've set up a simple enviroment, and it ended up looking neat.
alfienoakes
I'm trying to design a staircase for one of my house designs. I've set up a simple enviroment, and it ended up looking neat. ..let us be the judge of that.... It does have a good feel to it.. Simple, at a quick glance it could be a photo. I assume they are glass blocks at the end of the shot, beyond the staircase?
Koper
i agree with andy on it looking like a photo but imo if you wanna show the design of the staircase you got it all wrong because it now just disapears with this view angle, you need a more creative view showing the design itself. but if you want to stay with this view then try another exterior that aint so over powering. Why don't you try with:a dark exterior; an interior light from the left hand upper corner just out of view that shines on the stairs on the left and cast stips of shadows on the wall below the lefts stairs; and then also a light from behind above the camera just to illuminate the hall cool work
pailhead
Still not there, i'm pretty satisfied with the look of the concrete but thats about it. I've overlooked something and my glass turned out looking like crap. In the process of merging the inner inner (hollow) surface and the outer surface of the glass block, i was left with a multi sub material consisting of two different glass materials. That's why my glass rendered as a solid clear block, rather than a hollow block with bumpiness inside. Also, some of my refletions have dissapeared, i'll try tweaking the materials a bit more. I have intended to render a night shot as well, and i've set up another camera, but i've shosen this view to test the design, once i've got somthing solid i'll render the other views too. sardesign
instead of a surface mounted stringer... why not a concealed stringer clip [metal clip that gets anchored to the concrete wall and the stair attaches directly to that. All you would see is a reveal where the stair meets the concrete wall. Then you can do a similar thing to your handrail. It would clean that up considerably. Ky Lane
The timber looks gorgeous. Love to get my hands on that concrete too, real nice. The top bit of concrete looks like fibreglass though. Very pretty.
Nic H
I think they are arrowway textures from the look of it Ky. The concretes are great!
