tdarcy
Hi all, This is my first external radiosity attempt using viz 4. I would be grateful for any comments. I haven't put any planting in yet and I still can't cope very well with grass as you can see...any tips would be welcome. STRAT
looks ok, but still looking extremely scanlined. not much evidence of radiosity. you'll have to delve into that further. also every single texture in your image obviously tiles. that really puts a downer on things. IC
A quick way to fix that tiling problem is to layer different(but complimentary) images/procedurals on top of the main image. That to me seems to be the main problem-all the textures look too basic. Also, I doubt there would be grass on the slope next to the garage and I would expect a handrail on those steps-it's pretty steep. And if you are going to do grass with textures, it helps NOT to attempt that striped look (imo). Your eye is just drawn to it right away. Good start though, if slightly dark. I think that's why it looks like scanline-too much contrast and not enough brightness. Cheers, Iain
demo38
Nice start. I would lose some of the curbwork around the driveways though, it seems odd to have it there, or at leats to have it that tall... I would HATE to mow that lawn! You could break your neck... I agree with IC on that... That striping is distracting, and too perfect right now.
