wicho
Hey guys, this might sound like a newbe question. I have imported curved objects from AutoCAD to Viz and it seems they are all jagged and not curved. Is there a setting in AutoCAD or VIZ to adjust. Would appreciate some help. thanks -j-
denham
yeah I've ran into this many times. Its weird because curved pline cornices I draw always import fine. But every now & then a large curved arc pline will get distorted in 3d. I usually just draw in viz/max. Would be interested to see if there is a fix for this. mac3d
I believe it's the facetres variable - set the number higher for smoother curves. - see if that works. -m
mac3d
facetres would be set in autocad
neko
when you import into VIZ, near the bottom of the dialogue box, reduce the number where it says "surface deviation for 3D solids" the smaller the number, the smoother the curves
