IC
It's certainly very interesting! All your materials are recieving too much light. They also need bump and interest maps. Are you using a 3d app? You need to turn on/up antialiasing and try to match the scene to the reference photos. Keep at it as you obviously know how to composite. Zortea
Well... Let´s start... this was made on 3DStudio Viz 4.0 and I don´t know what happens that the top of the building and the top of the front wall had such aspect(it looks like a saw) about the ligths, I used to use 2 omni with the mulplier set on 0.3 and a target spot with the mult set to 1 or at a maximun of 1.2 those omni ligths has no shadows and the target spot has ray traced shadows
Ricardo Eloy
Hi, Zortea! The image is crying for AA. As previously mentioned, there's too much light. Try using radiosity or Light tracer with one skylight instead of omnis. Also, check the pedestrians. They're definetly strange, with weird angles, wrong illumination and proportions. I'd get rid of them asap. Another thing: the sky is not matching the light. Use a lighter sky (you can get some really nice at www.animax.it) and fix the lighting and you're set. Zortea
Well Rick, forgive my ignorance, but what is an AA? next point, in fact I was using radiosity but after a few crashes of my Viz, I just try to go on a basic way, about using a sunligth, I´ll try but it seems a little dark. About the people, let´s just rid of them but will the scene a little empety without the people? or maybe I can put another car in front of the school, it may be work... I´ll try these changes and put the resul here maybe tomorrow...
Ricardo Eloy
AA = Anti-Aliasing And if you don't want or can't use radiosity or LT, try using a light ring, as seen on Delfoz's post for the 2nd Monthly Challenge (or was it the third?). Anyway, he has a great technique based on 3 rings of omni lights with different colors and intensities. Worth checking out! About the people, remember that the most important thing is the building, not the people surrounding it. The scene won't be empty if the building is well done, the camera angle is right, the lighting correct... Don't hang on to people sprites to make your image good.
