self iluminated material in vray

Hi 3d people!

Does anyone knows how to make a self iluminated material in vray?? i need a material wich is a kind of a light source, like a luminaire bulb. I tried a lot of configs in vray materials, but it did´nt work........

Any help will be usefull.

Use a standard material with an output map in the self illum channel(with the color you like best) and raise the output level to 10, 20, etc.

 

if you plan to use this geometry as the only light source, you should include a light in your scene with 0 intensity value.

Ok. i think now i can do wath i want. But i have to make another question. Does anyone knows why this kind of thing happens (see the image)?? it always shows up in white materials. In this case, is just a standard max material with a clear white in the diffuse slot.
