Iain Denby
I was working on a fairly heavy file when my material editor dissapeared apart from the title bar! I've reset, restarted etc but whenever I click material editor, just it' title bar appears. Any ideas?

Fran
Hi Iain, Will it let you resize the dialog by dragging? I've had this happen with the radiosity dialog before - quite disconcerting. Stephen, I got a page not found error when I tried that link, so, sorry if it's the same advice.
STRAT
damn, anyone else not see the link work? anyway, this guy had a most similar problem. this is what he said to solve it - "figured it out if anyone runs into this....shutdown max..go to the 3dsmax.ini file and find the material editor position dialog and adjust the numbers to fit on your screen"
Fran
Hi Stephen, I got the link to work (probably just one too many hits at one time), but that guy didn't have a title bar or anything as far as I could tell. I guess the dialog got moved completely out of view somehow. Good to know what to do in that case.
Iain Denby
Oh my Goodness, What a complete T*****! You know what I had done? I must have inadvertantly resized the dialogue box up to the title bar!!! OK, I'm going to wear a dunce hat all day to punish myself.
Fran
It happens spontaneously. Could be a display driver issue or a bug in VIZ. It hasn't happened on my new system (old card - GeForce something or other, new - Quadro4).
