building questions

i've decided to try to build my own computer after working on them for 20years... i'm a total newbie for hardware but thought what the heck i'll give it a try..

i've done alittle homework and here's what i'm locked in on so far..

 

Processor---Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600(waiting to July 22nd $266 price drop)

Video Card---Quadro FX1400

 

 

every thing else i dont have a clue yet..

 

motherboard--what to look for besides Core 2 Quad compatialb??all the motherboards pretty are the same price so i dont know why one is beter??

 

memory---does the motherboard/processor dicate which one i need? DDR2 800 but why are there big price differences in DDR2 800's???

 

CPU cooling-- i think andrew said look for the one that would hurt the most if you got hit on the head?? I guess just make sure it's Core 2 Quad compatiable??

 

Power supply---400 min right??

 

everthing i'll need hard drives etc i think are self explanitory..
