Exteriors Begins

Hello,

All this time I have been learning and working a lot of Interiors.

I have started to work more on Exteriors now. I feel it's real tough.

This is a start. I haven't modeled this. This has been given by a friend for Tests. This is entirely for study purposes.

Using VRAY and no HDRI.

Environment - dark blue

Light - Direct light 2 multiplier light yellow.

Expo - 1, 1.

After long work the first test.

This would be the last render.

This would be the latest with the above mentioned settings.

What do you think. I am stuck at mainly.

The shadow. I am not happy with the Shadow. I feel more darker and blueish-grey shadow is needed. I am not able to achieve it.

Grass with Vraydisplacement is also where I am stuck, but that I can really work on.

Please comment, crit and help me on with shadows and missing elements.

Thanks in advance.

Girish.

if you don't want to get into the whole vray sun/sky/camera thing why not use a HDRI in your environment override. The effect in the shadowing your looking for is generated by the variation in ambient light that HDRI gives. If your environment is one colour.......then your shadows and ambient light will be as well. I have seen some people use a gradient in their environment override as well, just to give the ambient light some variation.

I think this is what your missing.
