Jon Berntsen
Hello, this is my first post in this great forum! You guys impress me with your 3dmodels. This post may be a little similar to http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/19042-interactive-walkthroughs.html, but I need some more basic details about getting started. Ok, to the question: Steps 1) I have designs made in ArchiCAD. (.cad files?) 2) I want to make interactive animation out of it. If you for an example do a mouseclick on a target spot, it will take you to another room, to a closer look at the room you already are in, amongst many other options. 3) The final output should be swf. What is the best way to first render 3d from ArchiCAD design, then animating based on user actions, and getting .swf as output? Is there any solution with actionscript here, when animating this? Thanks in advance! Regards, Jon
Devin Johnston
I don't think ArchiCAD in it's self isn't capable of doing this kind of animation in fact I don't know of a program that can. You may be able to set something up with Macromedia's Director or Flash but you would need to pre-render out all your animations before hand then set up some kind of navigation tool within Director or Flash to control movement. Jon Berntsen
Thanks for your reply! Okei, fair enough. What if I just want to render out a walkthrough inside a house, with design taken from ArchiCAD, how is that done?
