Any good CG/Arch magazines?

Hello all,

 

There's nothing better than a good magazine to put me to bed or to help out a good session in the bathroom. Every now and then at book stores I see a couple of CG magazines....but they are always on photoshop. And the architectural/design ones never really get me either. Does anybody here subscribe to something that has really helped you out?...I guess this would only apply to Americans since I can't afford international subscriptions.

For the CG side of things, I like 3D World pretty well. It is a bit expensive to buy here in the US, but you can usually find it at Barnes & Noble.

 

For architecture, probably the best magazine in the world is the Architectural Review. It's english, so it's pretty expensive here, but they cover an enormous range of work all over the world. The writing is excellent too. I'm afraid the US has lost pretty much all of its decent architecture magazines.

 

Another exceptional (but expensive) magazine is Detail, from Germany. If you want to really understand how a building is put together, you can't beat their vivid drawings.

 

Hmm, I guess these are all quite expensive magazines, but Detail and AR are worth every penny.
