Need help with alpha images

Hi Friends,

i have modeled an exterior building and i need to place few people and cars along with few trees and plants around building.. i think it is done with alpha channel in 3D, could anyone help me about how to get those alpha images and place it. Where do i get the library of those alpha images.. I work on 3d max 8.

I personaly make my own, it's easy. Take a photograph, cut around the guy you want make it black and create his alpha channel. So you can apply it on a plane in Max with the black guy in diffuse and the alpha in opacity map.
