Ged Trias
I've made a spherical panorama jpeg in Viz and now I want to turn it into a quicktime vr .mov file. I can load it into the Panorama Exporter Viewer just fine, and I can even navigate in it. But, when I want to export to QuicktimeVR the option is greyed out. What is the deal? Thanks Ged Trias
abicalho
You need to install Quicktime in your system. When installing Quicktime, choose Full Install (since it requires many of the extra utilities installed with QT). Alexander
Ged Trias
Are you talking about reinstalling the player or do I need to upgrade to Quicktime Pro? Thanks for your help!
abicalho
Quicktime Player itself. It needs to be 5.0 or higher, and needs to be a Full install (Minimal, Custom or Recommended won't work). Alexander
Ged Trias
I've just downloaded 6.0 and it isn't giving me the option for a full install. Only custom, minimum and recommended. I tried the custom and selected all, but that still didn't work. Are you sure it isn't Quicktime pro that is needed? Thanks again for your help. abicalho
Yes, I have it here working with QT 6, installed as Custom and I chose all options. I do not have QT Pro. Alexander
Ged Trias
For some reason this is not working. It's very frustrating. I've reinstalled quicktime twice and viz4 once already. Does anybody know of a freeware quicktime vr generator that I can dump this spherical map into?
CRD
I'm having this same problem with Max 6. I've installed Quicktime 6.3 with custom and then selecting all the possible options to install. But in Max the export to QTVR option is greyed out. Did anyone ever find a solution to this? What am I missing? Thanks Colin
abicalho
Do you have Administrator Powers in the system? Was MAX installed as the same user as QuickTime? Can you view QTVRs in Quicktime? I don't know what could be causing this problem - seems to me that MAX is not locating a specific Quicktime DLL needed for this to work. Try using the version of Quicktime that ships in the MAX CD. Even though I have used QT 6.5 in my new system and it worked fine. But I always install everything as an Administrator which could be the difference.
