Devin Johnston Posted June 7, 2007 Share Posted June 7, 2007 I don't know why this is happening, when I render one of the frames of my animation on my main computer I get one result, after I save out my Irradiance map and render out the animation I get a different result that is much darker than the original. Devin Johnston Posted June 7, 2007 Author Share Posted June 7, 2007 Ok I think I figured out what's going on, I have Gamma correction turned on in Max, so the images look one way when I render them in Max and another way when I save them and look at them outside of Max. Devin Johnston Posted June 7, 2007 Author Share Posted June 7, 2007 Yea I realized that the Gamma correction was causing the problem when I posted the images but the question still remains why do we need to use Gamma correction with Vray and why does the Vray frame buffer show the "correct" image but the Max frame buffer doesn’t. I can save out the frames as HDRI's and then convert them to Tiffs but that's an extra step I'd like to avoid. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
