proces2 Posted August 17, 2003 Share Posted August 17, 2003 it looks like you might have regathering turned ON. if so, reduce the samples value (default 64 is way too high) and increase the filter radius value. that should help get rid of some of the splotchiness. also, note that the values for regathering will be influenced by your rendering size. its hard to get the regatherer to work sharply with lo-res renderings (without getting the splotchiness/noise that you are getting). its built more for rendering hi-res images. Hi, can you post your radiosity settings? Are you using a bump map on the troublesome surfaces? If so, try unchecking that map slot and seeing what it renders like.
