Hot Key tips

Hi I am learning Revit for the first time from a series of silent VLC videos. And the person who made them kepts using these hot keys but doesn't sat what they are.

Does anyone know the hot key to enter in dimensions while you are using the level's tool or the wall tool?

Hi,

to enter exact dimension just start typing the value you need using the numbers on your keyboard after you have clicked the first point of your wall. there is no hot key. simply click the first point of the wall and start typing the length of the wall using your keys and click enter. If the wall is already drawn, click on it, temporary dimension will show its value and click on the value and start typing another value. For level height - you are in section or elevation view - simply click over the number that is the value of the level height and type in the one you need.let me know if this helped.

as to hot keys or shortcuts, you can see them in any of the pulldown menus on the right sode of the command. you change them by activating the keyboardshortcuts.txt file that you can find under the C:\Program Files\Revit Architecture 2008\Program
