blaz
Hi, I have been using this motherboard for almost a year. and suddently this "checking disk" during boot up start bugging me. it always happen after a few weeks i reformat the HD.. actually it doesnt effect anything. it just slowing down the process to boot up the windows. so you can imagine i got 3 HD inside and windows always do disk checking to every HD everytime i switch on the computer. and after awhile the system become unstable. so its time to reformat again. so my questions are: - any of you experience this as well. and how to solve this problem. - is this something to do with SATA and IDE system. because if i m not wrong my MB have SATA connection but i m using IDE and i add an extra PCI IDE RAID card. additionnal information: -2Gb ecc reg RAM (4x512mb) - 256mb elsa graphic card. - dual AMD processor - 80Gb(system), 120Gb, and 250Gb HD all running on IDE so if you need any info please let me know to solve this problem.. thanks in advance
martincg
hallo, i have same board in one PC and working with SATA disks fine /time ago i have problem with IDE 80GB Seagate - but that disk has problem in others computers too - slowing down with time/ - i think changing disk could solve your problem - for SATA on tyan s2875 you need sata drivers on floppy disc before installing windows
blaz
thanks, i think i should have the SATA driver disk with me. just need to dig out the old MB box. i read some article from google search that it might be able to fix by changing the registry in windows.. will try it out tonight. here is thelink to share..http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
olli96
Got the same board and no problems with my SATA drives. if you dont find your SATA driver disk, then you could also download them from tyan.com. Olli
