Max Toolbar Buttons Missing

I don't know what I did, but I've spent a long time trying to figure this out so far. Somehow, my max 9 64 main toolbar buttons have disappeared.

I was messing around with mxp files, but I dont think I ever overwrote this one.

My max 9 32 on the same machine still has it's buttons.

Is this simply a config that I'm missing, or ini setting??

Please help, this is driving me crazy!! Thanks.

I just recently had this problem with Max9 not wanting to keep my customized toolbar UI. Every time I pointed Max to the right file, an error would pop up, declaring that the .CUI file that I was trying to use and make Max save, was not writeable and that I lacked the permissions to change it. After every workaround in the book, I finally realized that it was my Spybot Search and Destroy "TeaTimer.exe" (free app that I guess protects your registry from unauthorized changes) was running. Whoops. Not even sure if it's helping now that "Windows Defender" is around too. Anyway, I closed teatimer and everything works like a charm again. So, check your antispyware, etc if you get permissions issues and max won't keep your UI.

thats happened to me a couple of times in the last month.... I think it's just a memory glitch.... if you go up into customize and reload your display scheme everything comes back (at least it does for me)
