v.oid Posted June 26, 2007 Author Share Posted June 26, 2007 thanks for the comments. I did try to export it to .3DS but then I couldn't import it in the newer version. I did exported to a .dwg format and then imported from Max 8, the porblem is that you end up loosing all the textures. Thanks, V.oid Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think I even remember the reverse compatibility with max being referred to has searching for the holy grail..... it just isn't possible. You won't get anything other than the geometry if you export to DWG If you export to 3ds it will at least keep it's texture settings and camera placements, I'm not sure how well the lights transfer in and out.
