Tommy L
Render them out in a matte file (scanline). Composite in post
tayrona
If you want to use RPCs with vray, dont render them with your geometry, first render the geometry alone, then render RPCs alone with alpha channel and finally compose. (use matte option for shadows and objects in front of rpcs)

tayrona
Ok first step: render your scene without RPCs, (save your rendered images files in a separate folder) then Render it with RPCs but converting all geometry (unless rpcs) to matte object (vray props) -make sure alpha contribution is -1, shadow and affect alpha activated. Make sure that Rpcs are included in light (lights exclude them by default) and cast shadows is checked in all of them Render scene again and save files in a format with alpha channel (png is my favorite) Now you have 2 animations, you must compose them in premiere or another editing software. I think is the easiest way to work vray and rpcs. hope you got it.
Devin Johnston
I'm just curious what you guy's use for 3D people in your animations if your not using RPC's? I've used AXYZ people but they are only good if they are far enough away from the camera that they don't appear monstrous. What do you do if you need 3D moving people in an animation?
