First Arcviz renders

Recommended Posts

C&C's would be welcome.

This is my first post of work here, I'm from the game/fx world, attempting a move into Arcviz.

I'm transitioning from Maya into Max/Vray. These were based on photos I found in design books.

Good stuff, I think the horizon is a bit high in the third image. Id be careful with the highlight from the uplighter in the second image. Maybe it needs a softer falloff, the bright spot is kind of dominating the image. In the firsat image, maybe a bit of detail in the roof light reveal. Really good images though, well done.

The kitchen is a pretty good render but you have to watch scale. That refrig is about 8' high - look at it compared to your stove. Good lighting on that one, maybe a bit too much coming from outside.

If you're going to do Archviz you will need to scale everything correctly. Find a Graphics Standard book and look things up then build your model to exact dimensions.
