sterealkey
Hi all, My client has a special request, they want this tassle/fabric.curtain effect, but I have no idea what its called or where I could get it. Can anyone help me with a name, and even possibly contact details of a place where I can get it. Much appreciated
Koper
looks like a shear curtain lined with strands of wool, I don't think there is a specific name for it
aaron-cds
You could make that my creating a material in photoshop with various shades of white vertical lines with some narrow black and dark grey spaces inbetween. Then place that in the oppacity slot. You could assign that material to a plane with a noise modifier applied.

DigitalPrizm
sterealkey Hi Sterealkey, thanks for the opening to finally contribute to the forum! The material is called "sheers", and is usually used as a backing to drapery to allow the home owner to control the amount of light entering the home. It's also used as mosquito netting around beds or as net material for insect nets such as butterfly nets. The material is usually rayon or polyester, but I've heard of it also being made from cotton. Hope that helps.
