Hi everyone,

DOes vray works okay with Vue? I'm new to VUE. Don't exactly how it works. Is it possible to export Vue file to 3dmax or vice versa?? Or is there any site that explain how vuew works with 3dmax and vray. Hope my question is not too difficult to understand. Cheers:D

Depends on whether you have the Infinite or XStream version. Infinite is a standalone package which allows you to import your max models in 3ds format. XStream runs alongside max allowing you to combine elements from vue and max together in the same scene and switch back and forth between the two interfaces.

At the moment there is only plugin support for scanline and mental ray renderers though, not vray. Also make sure you have a good video card with open gl support for a decent viewport display.

I believe Vue only supports Mental Ray for now. That is what they told me a few months ago and I haven't seen anything in the Vue 6 documentation thats speaks of V-ray even if you are using the X-stream plugin - but I am waiting for it to happen! Vue is an excellent program - it was used to create the Island environments for Pirates of the Carribean II. It is a great tool for creating terrain and landscape.

If I wanna stick to vray, how can I make use of VUE? or what is the best vegetation software that compatible with vray?
