simon
I'm using Viz4 and am finding that my renders are cold and artifical looking. :ngeupset: i have read a little about GI but i don't really understand how it works with external views. I can use radiosity fine internaly but how do you use radiosity externally??? Any links, advice, anything... much appreciated Simon P.S should i be using HDRI? plastic
if you are looking for the close-to-photorealistic look you should use global illumination, not radiosity. radiosity isn't too great for exteriours. i suggest starting with vray free, since it's free you can't go wrong and you can always update or look at other renderers if you know more about gi-techniques. the concept is similar with every renderer.
