andreg
Hi All, I was checking out my subscription service for Autodesk and noticed the productivity booster thingy. Does anyone have that installed or is it just another Autodesk gimmick that bugs my software? What aspect of productivity does it boost? I don't use DirectX9 since its seems to corrupt my files all the time so is this something I should install to fix this?
DavidR
I like it mostly because of the chamfer option -you can specify how many segments in your chamfer, and it works really well. I've been using DX for a few years, and find it waaay faster than OpenGl, and it looks as good. I can't understand how a graphic API could possibly corrupt your file, unless you mean on-screen corruption? I had this with an ATI 9600Pro that kept overheating, then I'd get all these little squares (in games, not Max). I changed the fan 2 times, eventually sent it back to ATI, and they told me to F-off because i'd modified it. Bunch of assholes -I tried to like 'em because they're Canadian, but I got the same treatment from them over our 7 crappy GireGL X1 cards -we dumped them for nVidia, and AI is blacklisted as a supplier. nVidia rocks, at home and at work, with geat drivers. MegaPixel
Max was fine before I installed this prod. booster - Now I experience more frequent crashes and less productivity...
