Zortea
Does anyone knows how make fireworks on Viz 4.0?
jucaro
Try exploring about particle effects. If you can generate a fountain, then fireworks arent that difficult.
nisus
Keep the follwing in mind: set a particle age and a split on death... There once was (max3.1) a nice (FREE!) plugin that made superb fireworks... Don't know exactly, but I think it was something like 'pandora-fx(?)' from digimation(?) With this plugin one could set the same parameters for three generations of particles (as far as I remember...) rgds nisus
miguelafi
as far as i know, there are no particle effects on VIZ 4.0 U will have to work that on max or search for a plug in. ever think about adding them in photoshop, i can set u up with a couple pictures of fireworks at night... good luck
nisus
oops... I was thinking max instead of viz... PS is definately a simple way to have great effects. Use the screen (and overlay) blending mode... Here is an example... rgds nisus
Zortea
That´s what I wanted Nisus, anyway as I still have an old Max 3.1, I´ll try to find this plugin and make something really good...

stefkeB
Particle Illusion is also very nice: www.wondertouch.com Try the trial and you could buy the SE-version for $99. (this is a 2D-sprite program, but it's the particle engine that is also used in Combustion)
