Ky Lane
Just waiting for it to be delivered now! Also getting 2x20" widescreens to work on... So, does anyone here have experience running an apple system to render and model using max? Im told Bootstrap will work fine, but only work as fast an a quad core until the OS X10.5 update... Just interested if anyone else has a similar setup, and any quirks?

andreg
I have an 8 core Boxx and it rocks! Unfortunately, I never worked on Mac so I can't really tell. But 8 cores is 8 cores, and it's alot faster for test renderings. How much RAM will you have for your new pet monster?

fq400
You won't be disappointed. I have a 2.66 Dual core for over 6 months now and so far I am very happy with it. Did you get any discount for it?
Ky Lane
Yeah I got the 2.66Ghz DuralCore Dell about a year ago, and its just not cutting it anymore. Great for modelling, not so good for decent rendering. No, no discount. Close to 10 grand all up.

Geoffc
I was going to order one for a second machine, but found out that the current OS/bootcamp doesnt support Win64 yet. I've never really used a mac before, so to order one with max in mind, i'd need it to be seamless and easy as hell to configure with bootcamp, drivers, etc.
