Alternative to Sketchup?

Recommended Posts

Might try out 'Moment of Inspiration' while it is free. I believe it is the main programer who was behind Rhino and is now on his own. Haven't used it yet, so no comments:

Other option might be to join Daz3D and then get the members price on 'Hexegon' for like $29.95 or something or Carrara 5 for $87.00

Good Luck!

Ernest, you still using DataCad? I still use 8.5 every once in a while ;)

Silo is $109, but it may not be suitable for architectural modeling. Mostly people use it for organic modeling. But hey, $109 is pretty cheap. The price changes to $159 when version 2 is released. http://www.nevercenter.com/

Thanks Aaron.

I own Cheetah 3D and it's fine for the more organic stuff. I need to be able to build building shells and interior shells to scale.
