Duplicate to Max frame buffer

When ever I copy a rendering to the Max frame buffer from the Vray frame buffer my image gets very light. I know it's happening because of the Gamma correction that I'm using, my question is how do I set Max so that when an image is transferred to its frame buffer it looks like the image Vray rendered.

I keep my color curve adjustment set to the inverse of the gamma correction. Instead of taking the bottom handle up to 0.6, take it down to 0.6 But leave the correction turned off in your vray frame buffer.

Then whenever you need to dup your window, turn on the correction, hit the copy to max buffer button then turn the correction back off.

Haven't found any other way to do it, but it's an easy work-around and only takes a second to setup.

i'm guessing you have your gamma value in the colour mapping settings of vray set to 2.2, this is applying the gamma value to the render / burning the gamma into the image.

If you keep the Gamma value to 1 and use the sRGB button in the vray frame buffer to apply the gamma correction to the frame buffer rarther than the render you'll be able to clone the image to the max buffer and see it correctly.

However, doing it this way means that you need to either apply the gamma correction in post or burn it in when you save the image. This can be done by using the override gamma setting, and assigning the appropriate value, in the save dialog box
