Iain Denby
I have a box representing a ceiling sitting on top of some walls. When I render with radiosity, I get light patches at the top of the walls up to the ceiling. What am I doing wrong, and how can I fix this? kid
How does the box relate to the walls - anything like 1 or 2? If Viz radiosity is anything like Lightscape then if the box sits on the walls like in diag. 1 then light will leak because of the coincident faces. In diag. 2 the edges of the box are coincident with the edges of the walls, this is the type of modeling radiosity prefers. Hope that's of some help. Iain Denby
Thanks. The walls actually shoot up through and above the ceiling.
Cesar R
then you need to break then where they meet the ceiling.
STRAT
to avoid light leaks dont place planes on top of planes that dont EXACTLY fit. dont shoot faces through faces. edges and verts should exactly match.
