Gaurd rails Stair rails?

I have SU free and I'm trying to make a tube stair rail going down a flight of stairs with the tubes spaced about 10" apart. I tried the follow me tool but it won't follow all of the splines. It stops at the intersections. Any tutorials on how to make rails?

No tutorial here, but - try this. Create the wireframe (centerline of rail) of your railing layout and running a ruby script called tubealongpath - which is attached in a zip file. This should get you close to what you want - corners may look goofy unless you radius them.
