shahrokh
I tried to install vray on Windows Vista Home edition on my laptop but i realized some parts of vray were missing like: vray sun, vray sky, vray plane and fur... Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks in advance http://www.batworkshops.com
geardaddy1
Sounds like you are missing all of the 1.5 parts of Vray. Check to see if you have all of your dll's....which I am sure you have. If that is correct - Bring your plugin.ini file over from a computer that is working correctly.

WAcky
make sure you always run installers as administrator. This caused me so many headaches when i was reinstalling all my software.

magnuscarta
Damn that worked! I had the same issue. The (spanish I think) guy said Rightclick your max icon, Go to compatibility, Select Run as administrator and Run in compatibility mode for XP SP2. magnuscarta
If i remember correct you dont run vray as administrator but rather run 3Ds MAx as administrator. Also turn of the vista UAC as this can interfere with folder access rights. Also remember to run the vray installer as administrator - right click - Run as Administrator Hope this helps Edited August 31, 2009 by magnuscarta
