alexthg
What's the best way to import autocad spline topography data into 3dsmax? I've tried the import dwg from 3dsmax, but can't seem to have any control on the spline interpolation / curvature settings They just imported as many segmented lines which results in a gigantic lot of spline vertices.... thus kicking me to desktop whenever I tried to 'terrain' them. So, it's either I need another method of importing splines which could import cad splines as bezier curves, or someway to 'optimize' the splines in 3dsmax. Any suggestion? Thanks in advance
only3d
about a different method of importing dwgs there isnt one to my knowledge (well theres 'file link manager' but it wont help in this case) but maybe 'normalize spline' mod' could help u. i myself just trace the lines with my own nurbs or splines, most times its just not worth the messing around.
