Tim Nelson
Is there any difference between the two, other than the price? I couldn't see any.
AJLynn
The QX has the Kentsfield XE core as opposed to the regular Kentsfield, see this. The main advantage I can see with the XE is the unlocked multiplier, which allows some interesting OC'ing tricks like dropping the multiplier to run the RAM faster with the same CPU speed. Tim Nelson
Ahh I see. Wow they really get you there. I have been using the Qx6700, and the unlocked multiplier does make it super easy to overclock.

Tim Nelson
^ What max stabile speed did you reach whit unlocked QX6700? For 24/7 working? I have ours at 3.2, which was the only test I ever tried. I'm sure it can go much higher though.
