proces2
i am using the thin wall refraction map on a frosted glass type material (based on suggestions in a MAX thread) and getting great results. just one question ... when rendering, is it typical that it takes FOREVER to go through the "Rendering Reflect/Refract Maps" before it actually starts rendering the image? i have rendered an image that had the thin wall refract map. but, i set it to render then came back hours later. now, that i sit here and watch it (to make sure that it will actually start rendering the image), it is taking an eternity to "render reflect/refract map". is this right? if so, any way to speed it up? sean
