Brian Cassil
Does anyone have one of these or is anyone familiar with the "dynamic contrast ratio" which claims contrast ratio of 3000:1? I'm a little nervous about purchasing something that "automatically" controls the contrast of my images. 3000:1 sounds great but if it is shifting contrast or brightness etc dynamically than I'm out for obvious reasons. I would need something that keeps everything consistent so I'm comparing apples to apples so to speak.
AJLynn
I'm using one right now. The dynamic feature is optional, I don't have it turned on. It's a pretty darn good monitor for what it goes for these days, though I read that there was an earlier run that I don't have that had pretty bad color. I think the color is pretty decent, but I'd recommend calibrating (but that's true of most LCDs).
Brian Cassil
OK, the reason I ask about the dynamic contrast feature is the 225bw looks identical except without the dynamic contrast and it's a little less money. Maybe I'll go for that one.
rpompeu
Hi Brian, I have one 225bw and just love it, it's just a bit hard to calibrate, but after it's done it has a really nice image.
