RTurner
Onyx Tree's with VRay proxy mesh work fantastic. You'll have limitless supply of tree's for one price, without the limitations of RPC's.
jonnypoland
i really am new to all this how does onyx work and vraymesh?
jasondutoit
Hi! Firstly, I'd increase the skylight multiplier... so that the dark area's aren't so dark. I think the grass could also be a little too bright. Another (possibly useless) tip...make the camera about the same height as an average person would be standing on the ground. It helps make the model look less like a 'model' by giving the image a similar perspective to a photo (hope that makes sense?)

Ricardo Eloy
You'll need the RPC plugin (http://www.rpcnet.com). Check the website and you'll find all sorts of info on RPC.
jonnypoland
is there any way of putting trees in this scene with shadows without having to pay loads of money for subscriptions to onyx or rpc? can i do it with bitmaps?
RTurner
There are several free sample downlowds available on xFrogs site, Evermotion, and others, just need to dig a bit.
thierrybauwens@inpix.be
i actually use itoosoft forest pack, it place random forest into designed area's, check their website for more info, it's not too expensive. Trees are like planes, automatically facing the camera. The collection is not high resolution bitmap, but you can insert yours...
