tacbob
Hello. I would be grateful if anybody knows of some good tutorials for architectural rendering with V-Ray in 3DS Max9. In particular using sunlight and I need glass and metal to reflect realistically. I have read that ray traced materials in 3DS Max are not good with V-Ray so what is the solution? rivoli
as long as tutorials go, I'd say have a look here: http://thegnomonworkshop.com/dvds/groups/3dsmax_g.html the first two are specifically vray (first one exteriors). you might as well find other good stuff there. here's another one by Chris Nichols: http://gnomonology.com/prod/6 the best place for any kind of info/knowledge/tutorial out there it's the chaos forum though, and it's totally free. have a look there, ask questions.. you won't be disappointed. http://www.chaosgroup.com/forum/phpBB2/index.php as long as mats are concerned, I'd say the solution is vray's own materials.
