rendering image.....done?

I have a scene that take about 10min to render, but it takes about 4 minutes to respond after it says its done. Have anyone else experienced this?

 

Max 9 - VRay 1.5

MacPro 8 core 3.0ghz

Win XP32 - 4 gigs of Ram 3 gig switch

Yeah I think it's a known problem, and may even be fixed in the newer builds. Seems like the more geometry you have in your scene, the longer it takes to transform the vertices in the beginning, and the longer it takes to unfreeze after the render finishes. You are not alone.

I am having the same issue, but this is happening during the IR calc and only when sending through backburner. I am doing a multiframe incramental(every 10th), the first frame finishes but the second holds for hours at the "done" stage. If I send the same sequence locally without using backburner, no issues. Any Ideas?

i have a problem with a couple of my renders. while it is calculatin the prepasses, in place of the prepass 1 of 4 in the current task i get another message called presampling displacement amd also one saying unloading geometry and then max crashes.

 

i faced this problem earlier and i realised i have 3d displacement given to one of the objects and thats cleared it. But this time i have no 3d displacement to any object, can anyone help me out here
