arturito
Hi all, (please be kind with this stupid guy!!!) recently I bought a new computer.... (spent all my savings...) following dealer advise, I got 8 GB in RAM I have noticed that windows is only taking 3 GB and researching I have found that is a windows XP issue, not allowing more than 3 GB I work with 3d max, vray and photoshop........ I would like to get adventages from my 5 Extra GB, is there any solution, different from windows vista????? Thanks buddies!

AJLynn
The 3GB switch makes 3GB of the system memory accessible to applications. It doesn't solve the problem of XP32 being limited to 4GB total. To use 8GB you need XP64, and to use all 8GB you'll need 64-bit versions of your apps. Of course, with XP64 and Max64, Maya64, C4D64 etc, you'll have really excellent memory performance.
