Getting into the business

Hello there,

 

I'm currently working for Doncaster Council, located in the north of England, as an AutoCAD technician (Production of technical and graphical plans, details and some visualization (bog standard AutoCAD only) for a small group of landscape architects) and I was wondering if anyone on this board could help me in moving into the 3D visualization business. Any tips on qualifications, experience, background, software etc. would be much appreciated. I currently have some simple qualifications in AutoCAD (2D, 3D, customisation, etc.) but I don't have any A-levels or proffesional design qualifications. Thanks in advance!
