chrisclocher
So I am trying to create a skydome (Viz 2008). I created a sphere, selected hemisphere, typed in .5, added normal modifier, clicked flip normals, but I still cant see through the dome! Am I forgetting something? The tutorials only tell me those steps. It is annoying to zoom extents and to not see my scene.
mahorela
I may be reading this the wrong way but if you create a skydome....flip the normals and then zoom extents won't your view be on the outside of the dome and therefore you won't be able to see it (flipped normals)? alternatively.....if viz is like max, right click the dome and go to properties and click on the option that says "see through"......this may help you to see your scene through the dome
louis.cho
can you not just hide the geometry and make it visible to render?

Tommy L
Your viewport is set to 2-sided. Change it in the customize settings.
