TheAllusionisst
Quick question to see if anyone has run into this. I finally got my VRay dongle and plugged it into my server and wanted to uninstall and install Vray for dongle lisencing. Unfortunately a dialogue box comes up saying that 3dmax is running (have it installed for the renderfarm), which there is a max process always running and even if though through the task manager I stop the process, it just starts up immediately so I can't uninstall or install vray. Anyone run tion this problem and if so do you have a solution? Just trying to set up everything for distributed rendering, usually something like conflicts in IP's or similar would cause problems for me, this time I can't even re-install the software! LOL It has been one of those months Thanks in advance.
rivoli
if you had registered the spawner as a service that's what it would do, you can remove it via programs>chaos>vray>dr>administration>remove. this should fix it.
TheAllusionisst
That did it, thank you, I thought I had removed the spawner from all the autostart locations, so I was baffled. Thank you for your time and solution!

kippu
press alt+ cltrl+del to get the task manager ...see a process called vrayspawner.exe and "kill it" and also stop a 3dsmax.exe which will also be running....that should do i suppose
