castroman
I am having trouble getting the renderer in Revit to conform to my standards. I am trying to render an indoor room. And the settings are too limited. I have been playing around with the newest Autocad and it has tons more options as far as I can tell. Final gather and photons and better anti aliasing. But my knowledge of Autocad is limtied and I am having trouble assigning multiple materials to the interior(chairs). I also had trouble with exterior renderings in Revit especially when rendering small patterns, I am getting moire patterns. I tried rendering in double size and resizing in photoshop, got better but not good enough. I know about the viz/max connection, but that is not an option for me(moneywise). I sure hope Revit gets more options rendewise, I understand that Revit is equipped with a scaled down version of Accurender 3. Anybody has gone from revit to autocad before and has any good ideas? Macer
Rendering in Revit is not worth the effort. I usually export the revit file, while in 3d View, as an dwg file type (File: Export: etc). From there you can import or link it to your renderer of choice. Sorry but I haven't done any rendering in AutoCad.
castroman
yes, the options in Revit are quite limited. Hopefully I can dig up a tutorial that adresses rendering in Autocad.
